IDICHAKKA PULINGARI.

Idichakka _ tender jackfruit cut into small pcs ½ kg

Tuvar dal – 1 Cup

Chilli powder1 tea spoon

Turmeric powder ¼ spoon

Raw mango cut to pcs – 1 cup
(if mango is too sour quantity can be redused)
(we can also use tamarind paste instead of raw mango)

Shallots 6/8

Salt to taste

For seasoning

Coconut oil 2 spoons

Mustard seeds ½ spoon

Curry leaves 2 stems

Broken red chillies 2-3
 ......


Method
In a pressure cooker put idichakka pcs thuvar dal chilli powder and turmeric. Add enough water and cook till tender (2 whistle). After opening the cooker add the mango pcs and cook till mango is done. Remove from stove. Heat coconut oil in a pan add mustard seeds, when the mustard is spluttered fully add the
Fine chopped shallots curry leaves and broken chillies to golden brown. Pour this mixture to the kept aside curry.
(This can be served with rice)
